1. Rinse After Fishing
Lightly rinse the reel with fresh water to remove salt, dirt, or sand.
Don’t use high-pressure water — just a gentle wash.

2. Dry It Properly
Wipe the reel with a clean cloth until fully dry.
Moisture left on the reel can cause corrosion over time.

3. Keep Sand Away
If the reel touches sand, rinse and dry it immediately.
Sand is the main thing that damages bearings.

4. Light Lubrication
Every now and then, add a tiny drop of reel oil to the handle and line roller to keep it smooth.

5. Store Correctly
Keep your reel in a dry spot and loosen the drag when storing to protect the drag system.
